Pappy Cap?

My Mom called the other day and asked me if I could make a hat for my Dad who is having chemo-therapy. Dad + sewing = fun. I was all over it. I found a free pattern here after much searching I decided that Scrub hats, Chemo hats, and Skull caps are one in the same. I didnt think the tails/ties would be very comfortable for napping , which he is very good at so I eliminated them from the pattern. This is what I came up with, a "Pappy Cap". Cheesy, I know.

Its a Win!

Sadly SewMamaSew Give-a-way has come to an end. I LOVE bouncing from blog to blog and finding new inspiring ideas and feeling connected to so many stitchy people. AND of coarse its always exciting to win! This year I was lucky number 405 over at Froth and Bubble's Blog , scoot on over and check out the Lil Plain Jane fabric that I won. I kept staring at that beautiful RED flower on the inside of my eyelids all night. red being my current favorite color! Thanks Froth and Bubble .

Me Time

For my birthday (way back in February) my daughter bought me 2 yards of Deer Valley by Joel Dewberry. I decided to make a little pouch to keep all of my reciepts tidy in my purse. Its so hard to find ME TIME and it felt soo-oo good to just sit down and wip up a little something - yes better than a back rub and even better than chocolate :)

Walking Sticks

One of the latest projects at Pre-School. Walking sticks! The wee ones painted these beautiful driftwood sticks today and I would love to just put them all in a short wooden barrell and keep them :)
