A Mighty Muffin

It is a mighty muffin indeed that has my husband requesting it and bragging about it! In my pursuit of all things healthy I decided to buy some Millet. I found this muffin recipe on Allrecipes.com and gave it a try, despite the snickers from certain members of my family who doubted that I could make bird food taste good.............. Well no one is laughing now, their faces are too full of muffins.

2-1/4 cups whole wheat flour
1/3 cup millet
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 cup buttermilk (I use skim milk w/ 1 tsp. vinegar)
1 egg
1/2 cup oil ( I use applesauce)
1/2 cup honey

bake in greased muffin pans at 400 degrees for 15 minutes

So Ugly its Cute!

During one of my many "pounces" on Etsy.com I came across some very interesting dolls made by "Junker Jane" . After repeated exposure to these misfits I fell in love with them. I couldnt resist. THIS was so fun and easy to do, I think I will have to do some more experimenting :) I know, I know, its a little "dark" but come on its so darn cute!
My daughter saw me sewing and came up with her own idea. I love the pocket on the back with the removable kitty (made from old socks) what a great way to re-purpose! good job J!
